Sonya A. H. McMullen, MAS, President and CEO
Ms. Sonya A. H. McMullen is the co-author of the textbook
"Mathematical Techniques in Multisensor Data Fusion, 2nd
Edition," multiple book chapters, and referred conference
papers. From 1996 to 2005, Ms. McMullen served as a Space
and Missile Operations Officer in the United States Air Force
(USAF). Her duties included Delta II Training Officer, Minuteman
III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Combat Crew
Commander, Flight Commander, Deputy Director Collection
Systems Evaluation Task Force, and Command Post Chief of
Training. Her awards include the National Security Agency
Deputy Director of Analysis and Production Team Award,
Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation
Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Joint Service Achievement Medal,
Air Force Achievement Medal, Combat Readiness Medal,
among others. Ms. McMullen served as a U.S. Delegate to the
North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Research Task Group
for Network Visualization. Ms. McMullen is an Adjunct Instructor
of Aeronautics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
Worldwide and Worldwide Online and has taught graduate- and
undergraduate-level courses in aviation legislation and history,
spaceflight history, space operations and policy, aircraft and
spacecraft development, ergonomics, and human factors. Ms.
McMullen is a 1996 graduate of The Pennsylvania State
University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, a
2001 graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a
Master of Aeronautical Science, and is currently a PhD ABD with
Northcentral University in Business Administration, Homeland
Security, and Aeronautical Science. Ms. McMullen is married to
Captain (Retired) Mac J. McMullen, USAF, and lives in San
Diego, CA with Mac and a Dachshund named Bomber.
